Where It Goes

Bathrooms, kitchens, and floors, tiled to stay put.

Rely on us for tile installation. We re-tile bathrooms, kitchens, and other rooms, including backsplashes, and we install tile flooring for both remodeling projects and new homes. It's the same crew doing the plumbing behind the wall, so the tile goes in level and the lines stay straight.

What We Tile

Four jobs we handle most, on their own or as part of a remodel.

Shower Stalls

Full re-tile of shower walls and floors, laid level with proper waterproofing behind it.

Floors

Tile flooring for remodels and new homes alike, from a single room to the whole house.

Backsplash

Kitchen and bath backsplashes, a fast way to finish a remodel or refresh a room on its own.

Glass Shower Enclosures

Glass enclosures fitted and installed alongside the tile, for a finished, cohesive shower.

How we install tile in Fort Worth homes

Good tile starts behind the surface. A shower that leaks or a floor that cracks is almost always a problem with the prep, not the tile itself. Because the same crew that handles the plumbing also sets the tile, we see the whole picture: where the water lines are, where the drain sits and how the floor needs to slope so water goes where it should.

What the job includes

  • Demolition and prep. We remove the old tile or surface and check the walls and floor underneath. Damaged backer board or subfloor gets repaired before anything new goes on.
  • Waterproofing and slope. In showers we build the pan and waterproofing so water drains properly and stays out of the wall. On floors we check that the surface is flat and level before laying tile.
  • Layout and setting. We plan the layout so cuts land in the right places, then set the tile with the correct mortar and spacing.
  • Grout, sealing and cleanup. We grout, seal where needed and leave the room clean.

What affects the cost

Every tile job is priced to the space, but a few things always matter: the size of the area, the size and type of tile, how much layout work a pattern requires, the condition of what is under the old tile and whether plumbing fixtures are being moved or replaced at the same time. Large format tile and detailed patterns take more prep and more time. We walk the space with you, explain these factors and give you a price before work starts.

Tile as part of a remodel

Many of our tile jobs are part of a bathroom or kitchen update. If you are planning one, see our remodeling page. If you are replacing pipes under a slab, tile often has to be re-laid afterward, which is another reason to use one crew for plumbing and tile. You can reach us at (817) 831-4000.

Why homeowners choose our crew for tile

We are a family run company based in Saginaw, and the people who quote your job are the people who do the work. That means the details you talk about, such as where the niche goes, how the floor transitions into the hallway or how the shower drain lines up, are the details that get built. We would rather spend extra time on prep and layout than come back to fix a problem later. Every job is licensed, insured and backed by our warranty. If you are comparing bids, ask what is included in the waterproofing and prep, because that is where the difference shows up years later.

Tile installation questions

How long does it take to re-tile a shower?

It depends on the size of the shower and what we find behind the old tile. A typical shower takes several days once demolition, waterproofing, setting and grouting are included. We give you a realistic timeline when we see the space.

Can you tile over my existing tile?

Sometimes, but we usually recommend removing it. Tiling over old tile can raise the floor height and hide moisture or backer board problems. We will tell you what makes sense after looking at the surface.

Do you handle the plumbing if the shower needs it?

Yes. Because our crew does both plumbing and tile, we can replace the valve, drain or supply lines before the new tile goes in, so the work is done once.

What tile can you install?

We install tile for shower stalls, floors, backsplashes and glass shower enclosures, using common materials such as ceramic and porcelain. Tell us what you have in mind and we will let you know what works for the space.
